Sirens have conflicting portrayals throughout European mythology — sometimes with wings, sometimes with fins, sometimes depicted as beautiful, seductive maidens of the sea as well as evil temptresses, luring sailors to their deaths with their enchanting voices. I think these earrings embody either depiction 😉
